For years, we’ve been contemplating what we would do someday. One day, turned into several, then months, then years and found us living the hectic lives we all encounter in the corporate world, and we got so busy, we missed out on once in a lifetime opportunities with our daughter and each other. Our family was so wrapped up in every day life, including work, sports, school, chores and electronics, we forgot we were a unit. So, in order to reconnect, reflect and refresh, we had some rather long discussions, dreamed and planned, and realized that in order to reach our fullest potential as a family, parents and individual human beings, we had to be free to choose how to live our lives and not do what was considered the norm. So, we stepped outside our comfort zones and reached for someday, sooner than later.
